The New Medicine Service (NMS) is a free NHS service available at Bliss Chemist that can help you to get the most out of your newly prescribed medicine.
Its aim is to provide you with the support you need to understand your condition and to explain how taking your new medicine can help you manage your symptoms.
Who is the service for?
This service is for customers prescribed with new medicines, who may find it
difficult to understand when and how to take them properly. This includes those taking medicines for:
– Asthma
– Lung conditions, such as COPD, chronic bronchitis and emphysema
– Type 2 Diabetes
– High blood pressure
– Conditions where you take a medicine to control the way your blood clots (anticoagulants or antiplatelet medication)
